Texas Cancer Associates has now added even more convenience for you, our patient, by opening an Outpatient Pharmacy stocked with many of the “supportive” medications that are important to the success of your treatment. This means no more extra stops or long waits at an outside pharmacy, and you will also benefit from our experienced clinical pharmacist, Jean Bremer, R. Ph., available to answer your questions.

Here are some answers to some questions that you may have about TCA Pharmacy:
Q. What are the pharmacy’s hours of operation?
A. The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday 9:00am to 4:30pm. Closed on
Saturday and Sunday and all holidays observed by the TCA office.
Q. Where is the pharmacy located?
A. TCA Pharmacy is located within the TCA offices, across the hall from our lab department.
Q. Who makes up the pharmacy staff?
A. Jean Bremer, R.Ph. is our pharmacist and she is assisted by Stacey Lloyd, CPhT.
Q. What is the pharmacy’s phone number?

Q. How do I go about getting a prescription filled at TCA Pharmacy?
A. Very often your physician or physician assistant may prescribe a new medication for you, or refill one of your current medications during your office visit. When this occurs, simply take your written prescription to our in-house pharmacy and have your medication filled prior to leaving the office. Our pharmacist will also be happy to refill any prescriptions you may need while you are here for a regular lab or follow-up visit.
Also, if you have prescriptions at another pharmacy but want the convenience of picking them up here at TCA during your next visit, simply call ahead (214-420-7484) and give us the current pharmacy information…we’ll do the rest!
Q. How much will I pay for prescriptions at TCA Pharmacy?
A. TCA pharmacy accepts most prescription cards (including Medicare part D) and we continue to enroll in more plans every day. Therefore, whatever you would normally pay (i.e. your copay) at any other community pharmacy, you will pay the same amount here. Cash customers (no insurance) are welcome to come to the pharmacy and we will give them a price quote for their medication(s.)
Q. What forms of payment does the pharmacy accept?
A. We accept cash, checks, Mastercard, Visa, and Discover.
Q. What non-prescription (OTC) items does the pharmacy stock?
A. We stock a variety of vitamin supplements, anti-diarrhea medications, laxatives, nutritional supplements, antacids, creams and lotions specially designed for cancer patients, and any other items that may be convenient and helpful to you.
